Fida brings emergency aid in cooperation with Christian aid agencies

Fida International has agreed to join hands with Christian aid agencies working in the region to deliver emergency aid to Myanmar (Burma). The organisations to join the relief effort so far are Convoy of Hope, Australia Global Aid Network, the United States Assemblies of God World Mission, Health Care Ministries, Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada and Full Gospel churches of Thailand. Fida also has as its long-term partner the Myanmar Assemblies of God church.

Fida helps Myanmar

The Mission and Development Agency of Finnish Pentecostal Missions, Fida International, is raising funds to help the victims of Myanmar (Burma) cyclone. The aid operation is carried out in co-operation with Fida’s local partner, the Myanmar Assemblies of God that has 1,300 local congregations and nearly 300,000 members.  The goal of the PEM Consultation 2008 is to provide tools for a good sending process. That process is reflected from 4 different perspectives.

  1. Motivating, Dr. John Palmer, USA
  2. Recruiting, Mission Director Ron Hibbert, UK
  3. Sending, Dr. Paul Alexander, UK
  4. Receiving, Bishop David Batenzi, Tanzania

 The lectures are followed by group discussions. All participants can contribute for the recommendations to the member organizations in their sending processes.

“Penetrating into unreached worlds”

Missionaries and mission organizations are used to talk about unreached people groups. We still have thousands of them. That is a world which needs people with vision and proper training.
